Indian Idol 12: Randhir Kapoor Gets Teary-Eyed While Remembering Late Brothers Rishi Kapoor And Rajiv Kapoor; Says ‘I Hope They're Happy'
Randhir Kapoor couldn't hold back his tears on Indian Idol 12 as contestant Pawandeep Rajan sang ‘Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan’ from Raj Kapoor's film Joker.
The singing reality show Indian Idol 12, which is gearing up for its grand finale, was recently graced by veteran actor Randhir Kapoor. The contestants celebrated the legacy of the Kapoor family through their music and gave power-packed performances. Amongst them, Pawandeep Rajan’s tribute left Randhir teary-eyed. Pawandeep Rajan sang the popular song ‘Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan’ from Raj Kapoor's film Joker. During his performance, photos of Randhir Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, and their father Raj Kapoor flashed in the background.
Seeing this, Randhir could not hold back his tears. He got emotional and said, “This brought back memories and these photos reminded me of my brothers who recently left us. Wherever they are, I hope they're all happy and safe. Thank you, Pawan for doing this tribute."
For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away in April 2020 after a two-year valiant battle with cancer. A few months later after his death, Rajiv Kapoor also passed away. He suffered a cardiac arrest in February 2021.
Meanwhile, talking about Indian Idol 12, it is said that the grand finale will air for 12 long hours with many celebrities gracing the show. Reportedly, the past winners of the show will also attend the finale and will enthral the audience with their power-packed performances.
Earlier, in an interview with Spotboye, Indian Idol 12 host Aditya Narayan opened up about the plans for the grand finale and revealed they wanted to end the show with love and positivity. “Well, as of now we are just glad to be back in Mumbai. Of course, it comes with its own set of limitations and restrictions but we are planning a huge finale befitting the level of talent seen and heard this season. Having all the judges back for the finale will be great along with esteemed members of the music and film fraternity,” Aditya Narayan was quoted saying.
